KAPV medical college seeks MCI nod for five PG courses

Image result for kap viswanatham govt medical collegeThe K.A.P. Viswanatham Government Medical College (KAPVGMC) has sought the Medical Council of India (MCI)’s nod for introducing five Post Graduate catamenia from the next academic year (2015-16).

The courses for which the medical college applied and created requirement infrastructure are MD (Doctor of Medicine) of Pathology, MD Psychiatry, MD Microbiology, MD Pharmacology, and MD ENT with an intake of two seats cropped land.

M.K. Muralidharan, Dean, K.A.P. Viswanatham Medical College, Tiruchi, told The Hindu that the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) and Dr. MGR. Medical University had accepted the proposition on starting new PG courses. The bow of MCI was needed to outset the courses.

Expressing confidence on acquisition the MCI nod, he said the association had met the basic requirements in quest of starting the PG courses. Moreover, everything infrastructure had been set up viewed like per the MCI norms. MCI teams were expected to survey the college soon to inspect the facilities.

Similarly, Mr. Muralidharan before-mentioned a separate proposal had been sent to the Medical Council of India with a view to increasing the intake of post-regulate courses such as General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, Anaesthesia, Gynaecology, and Bio-Chemistry. If the bow was obtained, the intake of ill-defined medicine would be increased from 4 to 12.

He added that a suggestion had been sent to the administration for filling 33 super specialist doctors, including cardiologists, neurologists, nephrologists, and anaesthetists since the medical college hospital. The suggestion had been approved in principal. It was expected that the vacancies would have existence filled up shortly.
