KAPV medical college seeks MCI nod for five PG courses

Image result for kap viswanatham govt medical collegeThe K.A.P. Viswanatham Government Medical College (KAPVGMC) has sought the Medical Council of India (MCI)’s nod for introducing five Post Graduate menses from the next academic year (2015-16).

The menstrual discharge for which the medical college applied and created essential infrastructure are MD (Doctor of Medicine) of Pathology, MD Psychiatry, MD Microbiology, MD Pharmacology, and MD ENT by an intake of two seats every one .

M.K. Muralidharan, Dean, K.A.P. Viswanatham Medical College, Tiruchi, told The Hindu that the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) and Dr. MGR. Medical University had accepted the overture on starting new PG courses. The bow of MCI was needed to rouse the courses.

Expressing confidence on acquisition the MCI nod, he said the college had met the basic requirements towards starting the PG courses. Moreover, all infrastructure had been set up since per the MCI norms. MCI teams were expected to inspect the college soon to inspect the facilities.

Similarly, Mr. Muralidharan related a separate proposal had been sent to the Medical Council of India during the term of increasing the intake of post-adapt courses such as General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, Anaesthesia, Gynaecology, and Bio-Chemistry. If the beck was obtained, the intake of lax medicine would be increased from 4 to 12.

He added that a suggestion had been sent to the conduct for filling 33 super specialist doctors, including cardiologists, neurologists, nephrologists, and anaesthetists because of the medical college hospital. The proffer had been approved in principal. It was expected that the vacancies would subsist filled up shortly.
