Challah Bread and End of MSII Semester 1

Challah-lujah, MSII semester one is finished!

Most of our classes widen through the entire academic year, likewise we only had one official decisive exam (Genetics) for this semester. That did not lodge our other professors from giving us a 6-hour integrated pathology + pharmacology + medicine midterm considered in the state of a parting gift before winter sever. I was super jealous of my friends forward other campuses who had no period-of-the-semester exams at tot~y. Can you believe we go to the sort school??

The night before the midterm, my roomies underhand decorated my bedroom door as I crammed pharmacology. Aren’t they sweetness? It was an uplifting surprise the nearest morning when I finally emerged to caffeinate myself.

Midterm2015

The place of business supplied breakfast pastries and fruit. As you be possible to see, the bagels and danishes were instantly demolished, leaving the less popular fruit barely touched. In the beat timing ever, the department also hosted a cookie interchange that morning. Even a stress baker like me would not have ~ing so foolish to make three dozen cookies when an entire semester of pharm required rememorization. It appears several staff, graduate students, and first years were skilful to participate. I snuck half of the double chocolate cookie later finishing the exam. 😉

I have ~y unhealthy tendency to oscillate between neurosis and indifference towards grades and class rank. Why can’t IUSM switch to a Pass/Fail order for preclinical years? For the consideration of my own mental health, I acquire decided to remain blissfully ignorant of exam scores and instead focus on having a good dash to pieces (with lots of baking!) while initiation Step 1 preparation. Yay to lounging in pajamas on this account that three weeks!

Challah

It takes forever to be of advantage, but most of the time is exhausted waiting on the three rises. The decisive product is definitely worth the wait, however. Next time I make this, I decree sprinkle on some sesame seeds and abbreviate the baking time, which has been adjusted accordingly in this recipe.
