Don’t comprehend the name, but someone great had before-mentioned that reading is one of the good in the highest degree way of learning. If you versed in books the same book for more number of times you can learn of recent origin things each time you read that work. Having studied pharmacy for 7 years including diploma, literary & post graduation, I had to direct many subjects repeatedly. To add to this, I got my professional designation also surrounding my passion for pharmacology (Imparting drilling to newly selected BE/BMs according to cardiac products apart from conducting ACE session as a part of HRD MARKETING team in Troikaa Pharmaceuticals, what one. required me to refer those subjects again).

Integrating brace different horizons can sometimes lead to expanding of new concepts & learning. With this thinking process, I would like to receive my learning about effective leadership traits from a true different subject i.e., Pharmacology. 

In family to make it simple & facile to understand, I have tried to use minimum technical words.

Characteristics of a extremely effective leader: learning from Pharmacology.

Leader because a CATALYST
A Catalyst or Enzyme is a essential nature that increases or potentiates rate of a chemical reaction. For example, Protease is an enzyme in our material part which is responsible for digestion of proteins we devour in our diet. Protease acts in the manner that a facilitator which potentiates digestion of proteins. That substance even if proteins are present in our corpse, they can only be absorbed and utilized if the catalyst (Protease) responsible for its macerating is present in our body.

An powerful leader should have similar characteristic. A cock of the walk should act as a catalyst according to improving or potentiating the efficiency of his team members. He should make easy the environment required to bring finished the optimum performance by each team subordinate part. A leader with catalytic property inclination be able to accomplish the tasks given judgment deadlines, will be able to engage work-life balance to his team and finally will create a win-win-win situation for him, his team in the same proportion that well as for the organization.  

A projecting example of an effective leader with catalytic property is father of our population, Mahatma Gandhi, who acted as a catalyst notwithstanding all Indians to fight for independence, which brought together entire country and in the end earned freedom for India from British Empire.   

Leader being of the cl~s who an AGONIST & not ANTAGONIST
An agonist method any substance (drug) which has the two affinity (ability to bind to a site) & intrinsic activity (ability to give therapeutic response). Example – Tramadol (Zyrotram P Rapid) is some agonist. It binds with opioid receptors (affinity) and provides pain relief (intrinsic action).

An antagonist means any substance that has only affinity but no inborn activity. Example – Telmisartan (Telmikaa) is one antagonist. It binds with receptor & blocks it and good do not allow other substances to confine with that receptor.

From the definition, it is evident that an adequate leader should be an agonist and not some antagonist. An agonistic leader is the undivided who has not only developed brawny bonding among team members but also favors & facilitates the growth and growth of his team members. An agonistic chief gives success credit to his team.

On the opposing, an antagonistic leader blocks the progress & success of his sub-ordinates. An adversary takes full credit of success and does not spare anyone to grow. He is at all times insecure about his position and extremity up losing the trust & befriend of his team members.     

True Leader exhibits SYNERGY
Synergy/Synergistic activity – When two drugs used in conspiracy exhibit better therapeutic effect than the individual effects, that combination is said to offer for inspection synergy. For example, Dynapar tablet. (Diclofenac + Paracetamol) while combined together, they exhibit better curative effect than individual drugs. So it is called synergistic acting.

A true leader should be synergistic by his/her team members. Leader should for ever try to add value to his sub-ordinates labor, guide them to perform better, support team to learn new things and constantly be in action to improve his & his team’s weaknesses. In a nut peel off, when a leader joins his team mate, it should result in more productive work rather than fault findings & reflect upon games.

Leader as an ABSORBENT
Absorbent is a property which has ability to soak up ~ substance.

An effective leader is a cushion betwixt his superiors & his sub-ordinates, that absorbs the extra pressure or supplementary work load and acts as a soothing active element who streamlines the tasks and does not represent his team feel the heat of supplemental work load or pressure. An absorbing leader acts the other way likewise, calming & inspiring his sub-ordinates to moil with dedication in case of at all dissatisfaction among team members. A dominator acts as a bridge between his construction & sub-ordinates, constantly working as antidote to welfare of his team and organized existence.

In this case, let me receive with you my own example. During my sum of ~ units years & one month experience in Pharma sales, I worked with less than two bosses. My first boss power not be very good at healing knowledge, but he was very empathetic and was a immaculate absorbent. I was always treated taken in the character of an important member of his team. I none felt sales pressure and my do ~-work was full of joy, achieving mark was our habit. Exactly opposite to his ancestor, my second boss was technically loyal but with very low emotional quotient. He used to exclaim on us when the task was not achieved, blamed team members for failures, and he had only individual technique of achieving things, putting constraining force. The second boss did not see this important trait of a director. The team’s performance started deteriorating and gradually team started breaking up.     

A COMPATIBLE Leader
Compatibility – When sum of ~ units drugs given in combination, are skilful to produce beneficial effects without ~ one unwanted reactions or problems, they are said to be compatible with each-other. When two incompatible drugs are combined together, they one and the other damage the formulation or produce unwanted partyeffects.

A better leader is the undivided who is compatible with his team members. Compatibility in this words immediately preceding can be co-related with economist having sympathy, empathy, harmony, rapport, togetherness, agreement etc. It can’t be~ better, if team members have a sentiment that their leader is one amongst them and not some out-sider. Imagine a situation whither leader and subordinates are incompatible by one another, it will either make bankrupt the team or it will become a liability for the organization, ending up in be defeated-lose situation.

In case of compatibility, I would like to plough~ one more of my personal actual feeling. During my college tenure, I was the warrior of my cricket team. During diploma studies, we turned off to be the champions of our body. Later on few of my cricket team mates including me joined the identical college for graduation and again wanted to produce our mark in cricket, but simply six team members of our before champion team joined that college. So, we consideration of adding five other best players of our unused class to make best possible cricket team, ignoring our other former diploma class mates who also joined sort college, but were not a dividend of our cricket team during diploma. They were rational cricket players & shared better bonding through us. This activity prompted them (ignored players) to cut a team of their own and that unused team defeated us consecutively for three years. It was no other than after few years when I realized that old players & new players of my team including me were not compatible by one-another. We were better players without interrupti~ paper but our compatibility & team bonding were not to be compared to our opponents.   

The following pair terms are addressed considering organizational managers in the same proportion that leaders.

MANAGO-KINETICS
I have derived this expression. from Pharmacokinetics, which means what human body does to a drug when it is consumed. Here we have power to say Managokinetics means how team members interact or recoil to their leader?

This phenomenon can be co-related with how the team members or sub-ordinates obey or hold their leader in their routine do ~-work functions, specials tasks or assignments, moving overtime whenever needed, additional support etc. A corypheus should periodically judge his MANAGO-KINETIC outline by asking for support as mentioned beyond, in order to understand his pleasure among team members.

MANAGO-DYNAMICS
Similarly, this vocable was derived from Pharmacodynamics, which means what drug does to human visible form when it is consumed.

MANAGO-DYNAMICS refers to in what way manager interacts with his/her subordinates?

The concept is exactly opposite to that of MANAGO-KINETICS. Here the be at hand, response, nature or attitude of a superintendent is tested. A manager’s willingness to relief subordinates in need situation, manager’s calibre to understand the problems of his subordinates be possible to be gauged to measure the MANAGO-DYNAMIC side view of a manager.

Managers can improve their MANAGO-KINETIC & MANAGO-DYNAMIC profile by leading from the front, setting examples, developing team bonding, giving contrary ideas to tackle difficult situations, improving emotional quotient, listening to grievances or dissatisfying factors among team members, appreciation for better achievement etc. The list can be interminable, but in order to achieve lucky hit a manager should have better MANAGO-KINETIC & MANAGO-DYNAMIC contour.
